The Antioch Baptist Church has been a beacon of hope in Atlanta since 1877. Since its founding, the congregation has grown tremendously and continues to serve as a sanctuary for those who attend.
In order to support its growth, it is crucial that the Evangelical-based Baptist Church has a solid and supportive structure that will last for generations to come. In the Fall of 2021, the church was dealing with leak issues from its metal roof from another manufacturer.
Zurix Roofing, contracted by Antioch Baptist Church, sought the technical advise of Orion Associates to remedy the issues after the leaking was discovered. Orion Associates, a long-term distributor, looked to Fabral’s expertise to complete the project.
To solve this issue, Antioch Baptist Church worked with Fabral to engineer and develop a new metal roofing system that would stand the test of time.
The complexity of the roof elevations created a unique installation challenge for Zurix Roofing. To combat this, Fabral packaged the product according to the application areas to make installation easier for the contractors. Specifically, in places that had panel lengths greater than 70 feet, Fabral provided a stretch trailer – and even rolled panels onsite that were greater than 90 feet. For this 26,000 square-foot project, Fabral utilized the 18″ Fabral Thin Seam panel in 24 Gauge Medium Bronze.
