Coleman Park Community Center

Nashville, Tennessee

The Coleman Park Community Center was built in 1964, and dedicated to George Lawrence Dudley, who spent much of his life in service to local youth of the neighborhood. Forty decades of wear and tear began to age the facility, so the Metro Nashville Parks & Recreation Board stepped in to revitalize it.

The Board not only wanted to modernize the building, while respecting its rich history, but also make it last for years to come. After talking with Hastings Architecture Associates, they decided on Fabral corrugated metal panels, for their durability, lively palette, and 30-year warranty.

The revamped community center features Fabral Deep Rib II and V-Beam exposed fastener panels — in Charcoal and custom colors Banner Red and Apothecary Blue. With the original brick-clad gymnasium as its anchor, this design is the perfect blend of old and new.

A staple in Nashville, the new Coleman Park Community Center will provide years of enjoyment for visitors of all ages.
