Dickies Arena is known as a landmark event venue in downtown Fort Worth. Situated at the end of the Gendy Street promenade, a thoroughfare connects the arena with Fort Worth’s cultural and museum district and the Will Rodgers Memorial Center.
As the arena was being built in 2019, a multi-purpose space and pavilion was also constructed to complement it. Both buildings sit on a large plinth 18 feet above the street. The pavilion, located directly adjacent to Dickies Arena, offers a covered area for outdoor events, a place to gather when larger-scale events happen at the arena, and, in some cases, a place to house rodeo animals.
While the beauty and homage to Fort Worth’s prairie roots were at center stage for Dickies Arena, the goal for the pavilion was to offer a simple style complement that wouldn’t take away from the intricate details of the arena. Fabral worked with local roofer Jeff Eubank of Jeff Eubank Roofing Co., Inc to achieve this.
To complete this 13,000-square-foot project, we recommended using the 16″ Powerseam 24 gauge in galvalume clear coat. This product offers superior strength and spanning capability and provides a high-performance, mechanically seamed structural standing seam panel suited to roofing applications.
This project also qualified to receive the Fabral Weathertightness Warranty, which offers limited protection on the coating – meaning a guarantee of no cracks, checks, or peels for 30 years.
