Texas Rangers Golf Club

Arlington, Texas

As the world’s only Major League Baseball-branded golf course, the Texas Rangers Golf Club offers a unique experience for locals and tourists alike. This $24 million project includes a new 33,871-square-foot clubhouse featuring a full-service restaurant and bar, a covered patio overlooking the golf course, a pro shop, locker rooms, and numerous rental and event spaces.

This destination golf course is designed to offer guests a unique and premium experience. Because of this, it was crucial for the facilities to feature high-quality products that would enhance the design and beauty of the course itself.

For this project, the Fabral team worked closely with Michael Sparkman of REES Architecture Planning Interior Design and Greg Durante, the golf director for the City of Arlington. Mike McDermott, territory manager for Fabral, said, “Going into this project, we knew that there was a desired look and feel. Through working with the designers and those close to the project, we understood what they aimed to achieve, resulting in us recommending the chosen products.”

The architect chose Fabral Thin Seam 16″ 24 gauge in galvalume with shadowlines for 24,000 sq. ft of the roof area. The thin seam product is a snap-together panel made for easy installation with no mechanical seaming tool required. Installing this product over a solid substrate and open framing is ideal.

For an additional 1,000 square feet, the team used Fabral 1″ Snap On Seam 16″ 22 gauge in galvalume with shadowlines. This product features a two-component design that is ideal for roof applications requiring curved panels and was used in areas where there was a desire to have more creativity in the design.

While the golf course opened in 2019, the project team finalized clubhouse and facilities renovation and became public in March 2021. Shortly after opening, the course took first place in the public course category for Golf Inc.’s 2021 “Clubhouse of the Year” award.
